Board of Directors

Executive:

Nancy Rebehn

Executive Director

Appointed to the position of Executive Director in 2019.  Nancy brings to the organization her expertise in assisting people in need.  She retired from the USDA, Rural Development, after 30 years, where she assisted in providing safe, warm and healthy housing to people in need.  Nancy volunteered first as a worker with our organization but quickly moved up to house captain and then as a member to our Board of Directors.

Michael Bogues

Chairman

Michael is an independent licensed contractor, active chairman of the board, and our House Captain trainer.

Tom Voytek

Vice-Chairman

Uses his professional expertise as Project manager of Waterbury roofing company Heritage Systems. Tom also serves as the Materials Chairman.

Steve Waschak

Treasurer

An IT Support Specialist by trade and volunteer with Rebuilding Together since 2005. Instrumental in implementing the “25 Health and Safety Priorities” inspections prior to Rebuild Day. 

Heidi Haug

Secretary

Heidi serves as our Secretary and as our Constituent Representative.

Board Members:

Frederik F. Erikson

Board Member

Webster Bank's Deputy General Counsel and avid do-it-yourself practitioner. Fred brings needed vocational and avocational skills to the Board.

Frances Chamberlain

Press Liaison

Frances brings her public relations and media expertise to the Board.

Cordelia Schoen

Board Member

Cordelia is currently pursuing her Bachelor's Degree in Social Work at Western Connecticut State University.

John Matta

Volunteer Chairman

John is responsible for our high percentage of skilled craftsman volunteers.

Jeffery Vill

Board Member

Jeff holds a full time position with Gregor Technologies in Torrington CT as Technical Advisor. Member of the New Milford Sewer Commission. Jeff brings his multiple talents as an Engineer and accomplished DIY to the Board.

David Oliver

Board Member

David is a commercial and residential loan officer with National Iron Bank. He has an active role in the office of City of Torrington Personnel Committee, Chair of the Torrington Street Light Committee and is a member of the Rotary Club and the Litchfield Lions Club.  David graduated from Litchfield High School and received a Bachelor's of Science in Psychology from Endicott College.  

Advisory Board:

Tegan S. Gawel

Permit Liaison/Safety Lead

A Certified Paralegal and Notary Public, Tegan brings her legal expertise to the Board. She is responsible for obtaining needed permits. Tegan is also President of Templeton Farms Board of Directors in Kent.

Michael Gawel

Board Member

Owner-Operator of Gawel & Sons Construction, Mike is a CT licensed Septic Installer with skills as a welder,  equipment operator, foundation expert and landscaper.
